Chandelier Swan – The Smarter Way to Change Hard-to-Reach Chandelier Bulbs

Changing light bulbs in a high chandelier can be challenging, especially when the fixture is located over a stairwell or in a difficult-to-access location.

The Chandelier Swan is designed to help you remove and replace compatible chandelier light bulbs from a second-floor landing or stairwell using a compatible extension pole.

Whether you’re replacing a burnt-out bulb or installing a new one, the Chandelier Swan provides a specialized tool for reaching compatible chandelier bulbs from an elevated position.

The interchangeable finger system allows you to configure the Chandelier Swan for compatible candelabra or round light bulbs.

How the Chandelier Swan Works

The Chandelier Swan attaches to a compatible extension pole using its threaded pole adapter and thumb screw.

Once attached, the extension pole can be extended to the desired length and locked into position.

The flexible fingers help hold the bulb in place while the main body grips and twists the bulb for removal or installation.

For Candelabra Bulbs

Leave the candelabra light bulb insert inside the round light bulb changer and install the candelabra fingers with the feet facing outward.

For Round Bulbs

Remove the candelabra light bulb insert and install the round light bulb fingers with the curved side facing inward.

Removing a Light Bulb

1. Turn off power to the light fixture.
2. Allow the bulb to cool before touching.
3. Position yourself on a second-floor landing or stairwell with access to the bulb.
4. Attach the Chandelier Swan to a compatible extension pole and tighten the thumb screw.
5. Extend and lock the pole to the desired length.
6. Slowly lower the Chandelier Swan over the bulb until it is seated in the cavity.
7. Turn the extension pole counter-clockwise to remove the bulb.

Installing a New Light Bulb

Lightly seat and center the new bulb in the Chandelier Swan main body. Position the bulb into the socket and rotate the extension pole clockwise to install it.

The Chandelier Swan attaches to a compatible threaded extension pole, including a standard push broom handle, painter’s pole, or compatible extension pole with the appropriate threaded connection.

Extension Pole Sleeve

The included pole sleeve allows the pole to rotate more easily in your hand during operation.

Stabilizing Hook

If the chandelier begins to move during bulb replacement, the instructions indicate that a second extension pole with the stabilizing hook may be used to help secure the chandelier.

Important Safety Information

Always turn off power before changing bulbs. Allow hot bulbs to cool before touching.

Always tighten the thumb screw before use. Failure to tighten the thumb screw and turning the pole counter-clockwise can result in the Chandelier Swan disengaging from the pole.

• Do not exceed maximum extension length.
• Use only with compatible bulb types.
• Never stand directly beneath a loose fixture.
• Never lean over a second-floor railing.
