A Simple Idea for a Real Problem
About Chandelier Swan: Our story began with one simple question. How can you change an upward-facing chandelier light bulb when climbing a ladder isn’t a practical option?
What started as a personal challenge became an innovative solution for homeowners facing the same problem.

Our Story

After shoulder surgery, Brian Groves looked up at his chandelier and realized that even at 6 feet 5 inches tall, climbing a ladder to change burned-out bulbs was no longer a practical option.
After searching online, he couldn’t find a tool designed to change upward-facing chandelier light bulbs. That challenge sparked an invention.
In 2021, Brian and his brother Timon founded TBS Scientific LLC. Their first product, the Grover4000, began as a 3D-printed prototype designed to change candelabra bulbs. They subsequently invested in injection molds to manufacture the product.
Over the following years, the invention evolved into the Chandelier Swan, culminating in the 2026 Universal Chandelier Swan, designed to change both round and candelabra bulbs.
From an Idea to a Patented Innovation
Since founding TBS Scientific LLC in 2021, brothers Brian and Timon Groves have continued improving the Chandelier Swan to help homeowners change hard-to-reach chandelier light bulbs. The original Grover4000 was designed for candelabra bulbs. In 2024, the Chandelier Swan received U.S. Patent No. 11,923,186. In 2026, the company introduced the Universal Chandelier Swan, designed to change both round and candelabra light bulbs. Today, Chandelier Swan remains a family-owned business focused on practical innovations that make everyday home maintenance easier and safer.
